Seminar on Effective Policy Evaluation, 27th-29th October, 2010, Mombasa, Kenya

Policy evaluation is one of the most elusive yet one of the most relevant for public policy managers and analysts. Only recently have we started seeing emphasis on evidence-based policy making of which evaluation is part. Yet, only few public institutions including think-tanks would invest is policy evaluation. Nonetheless, there has been a lot of focus on monitoring and evaluation of projects and programmes in the recent past with less attention on the overall scope of policy evaluation. Policy evaluation demands a higher level of analysis and therefore those interested to develop or sharpen their skills in policy evaluation beyond projects and programmes have a chance to do so by attending this unique seminar.

The objective of the seminar is to equip participants with knowledge and skills in policy evaluation as critical component of public policy analysis and management.
